(ad) I have not been good about closing down the patio for the winter in past years😬 But with a fresh makeover this spring, I felt a bit more incentive to take care of this space so it looks just as good next year!

The painted floors in particular took quite a beating, which on the one hand, means the patio saw some good times this summer, but it was also starting to look a bit rough. I wasn’t quite sure how I was going to clean the floor, especially because I didn’t want to ruin the paint.

Fortunately I got the chance to try the @skilpowertools Power Scrubber and it worked perfectly! It made the job so easy, removing the grime and it didn’t pull up any paint🙌

The floor feels as bright and fresh as it did when I first painted it, and I’m glad to know I have a tool that will take care of it for years to come!

Adding these two walls of built-ins to our living room has made it feel so cozy! I’m excited to start decorating the shelves for the holidays✨

I do love how this refresh turned out but I’m not completely sure about the paint color. Sometimes it looks like a close match to the wallpaper but most of the time, I feel like it looks more like lime green😬

What do you think? Does it work? Should I try to find a more gold color, or maybe go back to my original plan to paint it a light blue?

#ad I have been so impressed by the ingenuity behind @skilpowertools 🙌 When I’m hanging something, I have to keep two drills loaded with drill and driver bits, or I’ve used one but have to keep stopping in between each screw to switch out the bit!

But with Skil’s Brushless Flip Drill, you load both bits on the drill and twist it to whichever one you need! Plus there’s a magnetic switch at the top to hold your screws. Literally you don’t have to put the drill down once to complete your task!

It might seem like a small thing, but it’s an upgrade that makes a project quicker and more satisfying!

I had every intention to repaint this closet a lig

I had every intention to repaint this closet a light blue but started thinking about what it might be like to not paint a space in my home green or blue😅 The stems in the wallpaper around the closet are a marigold, gold-ish, chartreuse(?) color and I decided to try to find something to match it. I literally just held up paint chips to a sample of the wallpaper and landed on Independent Gold by Sherwin Williams. It’s a bit outside my usual palette, but I think I’m loving it!

Do you think I made the right move, or should I play it safe and go back to my original plan?

#ad This closet was my first big DIY project five years ago. I learned how to use a miter saw to cut the wall hooks and a drill to hang them, and put my spin on the sponge painting trend of the pandemic.

But as my home design and style has evolved, and with the staircase transformation, it’s been more and more obvious that this closet just doesn’t fit anymore.

When I found these fluted wall planks at @loweshomeimprovement, it immediately jumpstarted my brain to design a new look. I love how easy they look to install and how they will create a big design impact without a huge renovation.
