How to Choose the Wrong Paint Color

No idea why my brain made a Mean Girls reference but I kept repeating that to myself as I started ripping it out😂 My first project of the year is underway! Let’s see what we find under that stair carpet. I’m thinking about using one of the colors in the wallpaper to paint the stairs, but I’m not sure if I want to stick with the neutral beige in the background or go a little bolder with a blue! One thing I want to lean into more design-wise in One thing I want to lean into more design-wise in my home is layering patterns, color, and texture. So I was beyond excited to be invited to the @joonloloi first-ever collaboration with @heidicaillierdesign because Heidi has been an inspiration to play and have fun with mixing, matching, and layering spaces. I love the warmth that the Zinnia rug brings to our living room with its rich pattern and earth tones, and it’s a CloudPile rug, which means it’s also super soft! And the Dana pillow is so pretty; I love it paired with a striped pillow! There’s something about a home that plays with pattern and has layers that feels more storied and even inviting to me; what do you think? #heidixjoonloloi
My first big DIY and still my favorite project (do My first big DIY and still my favorite project (don’t tell the others🤫😂) It wasn’t always smooth sailing, but I learned so much about woodworking from this project. And it gave me the confidence to keep building and dreaming about other custom builds for our home. If you’re thinking about it, go for it.
